Confirmation 2026

The confirmation dress has been chosen – but what should go underneath? We guide you through choosing a bra for the confirmation. For all body types, all dress necklines, and whether or not it...

Find the right bra for the dress

The date is set. The confirmation dress has been chosen. The only question now is what to wear under the dress?

The dress's neckline, back, and fabric set the requirements – and the right solution varies from dress to dress and body to body, but most importantly, it must be comfortable and secure all day.

For some, it is their first bra. For others, it is not. That doesn't matter. The important thing is that it fits properly that day.

Bodies are different. Some girls have worn bras for years, while others may not have started yet. Regardless of where you are in your development, it can make a lot of sense to get help finding the solution that works under the exact dress you will wear that day.

No starting point is wrong here.

What determines which bra you should have?

It is about making comfort and coordination with the dress come together in a higher unity. Here are the questions we typically start with:

How does the back look? A low back requires a bra with a low backline – or perhaps no bra at all, but instead tape or an integrated solution in the dress. Are there thin or no straps? Then invisible or removable straps are important. Is the dress tight or structured? Then the shape underneath is of great importance for the entire silhouette.

Feel free to bring pictures of the dress with you when you come in to see us. Then we will find the solution together.

One whole day. It makes demands.

A confirmation lasts many hours. Church, photography, lunch, maybe dancing. The right bra does not interfere. It stays where it should – all day long.

It requires that it fits correctly from the start. A wrong size or style becomes more and more uncomfortable during the day, no matter how nice it is.

First time in a fitting room with bras?

It can feel a bit overwhelming. Maybe a bit vulnerable. Maybe just strange or unfamiliar.

With us, you will meet a lingerie stylist who has done this many times – and who knows that it takes a little courage to stand there.

We always start with a little chat. What are you looking for? Anything we should take into account? What is important to you? Then we find the right sizes and style, completely at your own pace.

No pressure. No wrong questions, and suddenly you know something about your body and your size that you may not have known before.

FAQ

What should you wear under a confirmation dress?

It depends on the dress's neckline and back. It could be a strapless bra, one with outer straps, one with a low back – or a completely different solution. We'll help you find the right one.

When should you book a fitting before the confirmation?

We have many items in stock, but sometimes we need to order an item or have it tailored. This typically takes 1-2 weeks, so please come in good time.

What bra size for a teenager?

We’ll figure it out together. Sizes vary from brand to brand, and bodies change, especially during the teenage years. We carry bras in all sizes. The number on the label isn’t what matters—what matters is that it fits properly.

Is it awkward to get measured for a bra?

It may feel unfamiliar the first time. We do it discreetly and at your own pace. Our stylists are accustomed to all types of bodies and all kinds of questions – none of them are wrong.

Is it okay to choose an underwire bra for a teenager?

The teenage years are a period of change. The body can change quickly, and therefore many choose a wireless style because it is more flexible and adapts more easily. An underwire bra is not a problem either, but it is important to keep an eye on the size, as an underwire that is too small can start to dig in and feel uncomfortable if the body changes.

Padded bra or not for a teenager?

Once again, it is very individual what needs you have and what suits the dress best. Thin padding can be reassuring for some, because you cannot see nipples through the clothing, and comfortable, because there is a little extra that may protect sore breasts. For others, it adds bulk and can make the breasts appear slightly larger. It can therefore be a good idea to try both on, so you are sure what suits your needs best and is most comfortable.

Can you see the bra through the dress?

It depends on the smoothness and thickness of the fabric. Thin materials, light-colored dresses, and lace can make small details visible.

Many people are surprised to find that white is not the most invisible choice under a white dress. Most often, a skin-colored bra is more discreet than a white one – even under a white dress.

Seamless edges and smooth surfaces can also make a big difference. We always recommend trying the bra on with the dress – or taking photos of the dress with you – so we can assess what works best for that particular fabric and color.

Should I bring my mother/guardian with me?

It's up to you. Some people like to have their mother or another trusted person with them in the changing room, while others prefer to be alone. Both are perfectly fine. The most important thing is that you feel safe. If you're unsure, you can always start together and see how you feel along the way. Or you can start on your own and then invite your mother/guardian into the changing room later.

What if I barely have breasts yet?

Bodies develop differently, and there is a big difference in how far along you are in your teenage years. Some have worn a bra for several years, while others may choose one for the first time for their confirmation. Both are completely normal. It is not about how much or how little you have – but about finding a solution that feels right under the dress that day. We will help you find a style and fit that suits your body and the dress you will be wearing, so you can feel comfortable.

What should you wear to a fitting?

Nothing special. Come as you are. It doesn't matter whether you wear a bra or not. Feel free to bring photos of the confirmation dress with you, so we can find the right solution for that particular dress.

How much does a fitting cost?

The fitting is free. You only pay if you choose to buy something.

Can I just drop by without an appointment?

Yes, you are more than welcome to just drop by, and we will provide the same thorough assistance, but if you want to be sure of a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of time, we recommend booking an appointment.
